Join us on the 21st and 22nd September for two nights of experimental sound and new music at Estúdio da Bomba Suicida.

On the 21st Sept, Sonic Scope has invited some of the key experimental musicians and stalwarts from the Portuguese electro-acoustic scene to play together.  Multi-instrumentalists, Manuel Mota, David Maranha, Plan, Nélson Gomes (PT) combine diverse musical influences from Portugal to India, to create delicate and evocative sound compositions. Combing the traditional with the digital, Carlos Santos, Ernesto Rodrigues, Guilherme Rodrigues, João Silva, José Oliveira, Nuno Moita, Nuno Morão (PT), play cello, viola, percussions, laptops and turntables to create lush tones that fragment and uncoil as they progress and unfold. Foraging new partnerships, Frey (NZ) and Pedro Boavida (PT) have been invited to collaborate for the first time to create a new audio-visual experimentation. Tra$h Converters (PT), bring the night to a close with their dance floor antics and funky turntable magic.
