The international Festival of Radio Art, RadiaLX 2010, produced by Radio Zero, will take place in Lisbon on the 1st, second and third of July.
A live experimental music event, curated by Grain of Sound, closes this year’s festival at Jardim da Estrela on July 3.

Free improvising duet with Pedro Sousa on tenor sax and Gabriel Ferrandini on drums. Both share influences on jazz, rock, electronics and contemporary music. They focus around a set of languages and dynamics that involve from fast interactions to textural and reductionist approaches, opening space for each musician to set up new forms and directions. Therefore, the sound flows from reduction to explosive energy.

Whit is a quartet of Lisbon-based turntablists that foresee the turntable as an instrument of endless possibilities. Each musician brings a special background with him, a unique way of playing the turntable. The quartet uses exclusively the turntables in many forms of physical manipulation. A live turntablism act with 4 turntables, vinyl records and occasionally some gadgets. Whit are: Nuno Moita, Miguel Sá, Fernando Fadigas and Pedro Lopes.

One-Off is a variable experimental music ensemble fouded in 2008 dedicated to promote sound art and radical sound art situations. Every line-up is unreapeatable as well as the music itself. Instantaneous compositions are created in a live context by musicians and sound artists which are invited by Nuno Moita (Grain Of Sound) accordingly to each live appearance.
For the last evening of RadiaLX, the ensemble integrates the musicians and radio artists connected with RadiaLx 2010. They will together redirect from radio to performance context intensifying its concept of umpredictability and sound research.
Durán Vásquez, Jay Needham, Ron Coulter, Gintas K, Carlos Santos, Pedro Lopes, Mush Von Namek, André Gonçalves, João Silva and Paulo Raposo are the musicians and sound artists invited to perform in this One-Off live concert.
